Lunch at Château Eza - the Bay of U2

So here we are, sipping our champagne in the Lalique glasses and looking down on the bay of Eze. Bono has a house down there, on the area of land between the railway and the sea - and just along is the one belonging to The Edge. The Bay of U2, one could say.

Tomorrow: the tasty morsels we ate with our champers.

When I opened this phtograph I had a chill! What a spectacular view. I can only imagine it in person. Thanks for taking me along. I know now that if I possibly can, I must come for a visit. One day......

And Julian Lennon lives up the hill....

Ah, what a view of Eze Bord de Mer!

Jilly, is that the Nietzche Trail on the lower right?

No, Maria it's not. The Nietzche Trail starts on the other side of the village - ie way off the photo to the left and finishes way below us and again out of shot. In fact I asked the waiter about this trail you see on the lower right as it's new and he explained it's been cut into the hillside to enable the fire engines to get down if necessary. A large part of this hillside was destroyed by fire a few years ago. Forget the exact date now. Well spotted, Maria!

Sounds like a tough job, sipping champagne in Lalique glasses while overlooking the lovely ocean and bay below..... Well, someone's got to do it, why not you?!
Bon weekend

Wow. Simply Wow.

I'm always amazed at how much your region reminds me of the California coastline here.

What a vantage point! WIsh I could be there drinking a toast.
