Kermesse - the Soft Toys

This is the 43rd year of the Kermesse (which translates as church or charity bazaar).

From small beginnings by the British community at Saint Paul's, Monaco's Anglican Church, it is now a massive event raising an enormous amount of money for charity. It involves many churches and charities, hundreds of volunteers, thousands of visitors and takes place in the circus tent in Fontvieille.

This young girl is working at the stall that sells nothing but soft toys.

It is good that Monaco raises money for charity, but are their many poor people in Monaco? I doubt it. Hopefully the charity crosses the border and helps people elsewhere.

Oh my goodness, none of this is for Monaco it's all for charities abroad or elsewhere at least.

The shot works better in monochrome.

Everything seems to be dependent on charity these days, and you never get to see if the money makes any difference.

I really like the B&W version. We can see how well you focused on her eyes and how beautifully the light spreads across her. Unfortunately, I am not in the market for soft toys. Lenses, maybe.
