Courgettes as far as the eye can see ....

Courgettes (zucchini), with or without their flowers, for sale in Beausoleil's market. This sort are called 'trompette.'

The shades of green are visually attractive. Never have been a fan of zucchini, tho. Too many other more attractive summer produce.

Do they fry the blossoms Jilly?

Kate, this variety don't taste remotely like those awful dark green zucchini. I don't like them either. Do you get the trompette variety in America? They are often very long and very thin - like 2 feet long sometimes.

Virginia, well not fried. They make beignests of them - fritters? ie a very very light batter. Or they stuff them and cook them. Adore them myself.
