Wonder

Childhood is measured out by sounds and smells and sights, before the dark hour of reason grows.

I love this, Jilly. The composition is just beautiful, and you captured the sweet poignancy of childhood. Beautiful shot.

Love this kind of photo. Makes me wonder what is going through a child's mind. PS. I responded to your remarks re. the salad I posted today. I reluctantly post food pictures because they don't seem to appeal to me for some odd reason, but I love the salad so I made an exception.

with dad. Very tender.

I love his eager little position, as well as the water stopped in mid air. It's good to be back in my usual routine again of going around the world in the mornings with my coffee. I loved seeing your self portrait ... you are as cute as I thought you would be !

This is such a touching photo. I adore the way the father is looking at his son.

I really like the first picture. It makes you wonder what the boy could be thinking about. Did he just make a wish in the fountain? What kind of wishes do little boys make - perhaps for a doggie or a new toy?

Your people pics so inspire me Jilly. I'm going to have to pluck up the courage to have a "people month"!

I love the quote you included. Seeing the water being manipulated by the fountainworks must be worth contemplating. I remember when I could sit on my feet like that -- not anymore!

love this photo, this is such a typoical pic of everyday life. When the kids were small we always and to this day after they are grown, love to sit and contemplate the fountains.

When young, they do make wishes lots of them we used to throw pennies in them. then the sounds are so-o-o mesmerizing!

Nothing more refreshing that sitting by the fountains on a hot day and letting the wind blow the water spray towards you.

As one grows up enjoying the soothing gurgling of the water is always a soothing pleasure at lunchtime or anytime!

Enjoying gardens with plenty of fountains is a treat, as well!

Good choice of words too. JB is one of my favorite dead poets.
