Grand Prix Preparations - Ismel and Wladimir

Each day more and more steel is erected around the track. These smiling guys are part of the massive construction team that work on the many stands around the port and elsewhere in the Principality. And as soon as the race is over, it all comes down again.

In the last photo - we are on part of the track that runs around the swimming pool - you see piles of steel waiting to be used. Visitors to Monaco have to thread their way thru the barriers but you can feel the excitement building. More tomorrow...

These stands look well constructed These workers are obviously skilled and, hopefully, everything is done safely.

Handsome fellows! I can't believe it's that time of year already! My how time breezes along.

Well they seem to enjoy their work, or at least getting photographed!. A lot of work for a short time. I can't wait to see more.

Must be a very exciting time for the people of Monaco with the great race coming soon. I would love to come one year and watch this most famous street race.

Jilly this is a wonderful portrait.

I love the idea that you obviously had a chat to these two men before taking their photo. It isn't a stolen image, it's a chosen portrait and that makes the photo invaluable in my eyes.
