The Changing of the Guard - 2

One last look at the Palace Guards as they hand over their duties. Then a quick turn and off they go to get into the white bus that awaits them.

I wouldn't mind a euro (or even a centime) for every tourist that has photographed this scene.

I haven't even got round to seeing it yet - like the shots from today and yesterday...

I was always wondering where they are taken by that white bus... Home or for lunch??

You would have made some money off of Julie, Glenda and me 10 years ago. We Americans love European pomp and circumstance, as long as it stays on the other side of the Atlantic.

When Richard Nixon returned from a foreign trip and decided to dress up the White House guards in European style uniforms Americans thought it was so pretentious and un-American that they abandoned the new uniforms.

Would you also have a photo of the other side where the Prince's guards charge their electric Smart?

It all looks a bit 'Disneyfied'...I'm used to the guards at Buckingham Palace in London. But I do like the tradition of it all.
