Femme Habillée

A clothed Botero - whatever next! There are so many wonderful nude Boteros around Monaco so this one was a surprise. She stands on Port Hercule outside the Marlborough Gallery and not far from Stars n Bars. She was sculpted by the Columbian master in 2003.

Glad to know that there are women in Monaco who have cankles like me, ha! :)

P.S. Jilly, did you see how Mark Cavendish made the Isle of Man proud once again?

What a fun sculpture; I love the somewhat haughty look on her face. She thinks she's it, despite her "cankles" (that's a great term) and generally Rubenesque figure. Thanks for the introduction to Botero, I'll have to learn more about him. Maybe sometime in your travels we could see some of his other works you mentioned...?!

Odd. I have never seen a Botero with clothes either!

She reminds me of a mother in law, or one of those Lego figures.
