No it is just not you -- it is sad,,, we do not respect life on earth... it seems counter-intuitive to raise trees then use them for home decoration then toss them in the land fill.

I always buy in a flowerpot -than I give them to my parents-they plant them aroud summer house-unfortunatelly some of them don't grow
No, it's not you. It is sad. Having a tree is nice, but not in tune with the times. A few pine branches on the mantelpiece or wherever, along with some lights/candles seems like a smarter alternative.
