Port Hercule

It's Theme Day once again and today's theme is 'postcard-worthy.' There are so many iconic views in Monaco - the port for starters.

The smaller photo of the Principality was taken en route to La Turbie one day recently. I was standing just below the Vista Palace Hotel.

Please click to see how others around the world have interpreted today's theme.

Tomorrow: back to the Carnival!

Your second photo reminds me of the opening sentence of the guide for visiting Monaco that I read before our visit in 2002. It began: "How many millionaires can you fit on the head of a pin?"

Superb postcard worthy views.

So many boats and yachts. A picture of wealth and leisure...oh, to be one of them!

Your Port Hercule is a fantastic postcard photo - dreamy to see all those yachts lined up! Great theme day posting, Jilly!

Yes, I would like to send it to all my friends! :-)
Must see if it's possible to walk to the Vista Palace or take the bus to photograph MC + surroundings from this point. Few more weeks.... Yippieh!!

Gosh Jilly you're going pro here - just the perfect postcard shot. I like to think that there's some sense of humour in achieving the perfect blue-sky well-framed shot : Too good not to have a good laugh about it (I'm sure you understand what I mean) :-)

Your photo does give me some inspiration to visit MC again. Possibly in September.
