Tattoos in the Casino Gardens

Not a Monte Carlo lady today but a visiting English couple showing off their tattoos.

Tatoos always fascinate me - body art - and I often wonder what I'd have done if I were brave enough to stand the pain.  But I'm not ...

This raises the question:
Can you get a tattoo in Monaco?
Are there any tattoo shops there?

I wonder if you have to cross over to France for tats.

Each tattoo tells a story about the personality of the owner.

President and Michelle Obama have said that they made a family pact with their daughters that if either of them get a tattoo, everyone in the family must get the same tattoo in the same place.

Once I was defending a deposition of a witness who was retired, and he showed up in a short sleeve shirt with a tattoo that said "Shirley" on his forearm. The questions from the other attorney and his answers included the following:

Q: Are you married?

A: Yes.

Q: Is you wife's name Shirley?

A: No. Shirley is my ex-wife . Big mistake.

Q: The tattoo or the wife?

A: Both.

There's some really fantastic artwork around, but it's not something for me. As well as the pain, I don't think they are something that matches my personality. But then, would my personality change if I got one?

Tattoos are a fashion. Fashion is temporary but tattoos are permanent. Go figure!
