Hands

It's always fascinating to watch the way people use their hands so expressively in conversation.

This wonderful lady was sitting with friends drinking her morning orange juice at a bar in Monaco's market on Place d'Armes.

Maybe the expressive use of hand gestures while talking in Monte Carlo is a result of the influence of your proximity to Italy.

Oh, excuse me. You were observing hand gestures. Not arm gestures. Never mind.

Great portraits, Jilly, of a lovely looking woman. Now I must take note of how I and others use their hands. Before I went to India my Indian friends and medical friends told me to keep my hands away from my face. I practiced before I left home; do you know how difficult that is!!?

I like to notice that too: some people never use their hands when communicating and that always surprises me! And others can't seem to keep them still at all, sometimes using teh same gesture over and over and over again. The ones that intrigue me most though are those that use many different gestures during a short conversation. They are the ones that truly talk with their hands.
