Theme Day: a Public Mail Box


All Monaco mail boxes are red, some are fixed to walls, some are free-standing like this one. The olive tree and the bench are optional extras.

I love it! It's got that retro look to it which would look really good standing in front of my house. I'll take the optional olive tree as well.

oh I do love how the box seems to sprout like a tree and olive that gives it shelter as if it were its offspring and then we have the bench whereon to take a rest after posting your mail.

I don't think I knew that the mailboxes in monaco were a different colour than in france. It makes perfect sense - but thanks for pointing it out with this photo for me.

I've seen some benches near the mail boxes, but not many olive trees ;-)

I confess I am new to your Monaco daily photo blog, though I view Eric's Paris site daily. I'll be staying in Cannes for a few days in April, and I might hop a train to Monaco for a day trip. Expanding my horizons when I can.
