Cannon balls!

What do you do when you've got a load of spare cannon balls? Here's the answer!

This is the Place du Palais (see yesterday's post) and is where you'll find rows of benches (with cannon ball support) under the shady trees.

Sit on them! Fantastic idea. Make a bench out of them.

You know it wasn't the cannon balls that killed so many people back in the days of the pirates. It was the wood splinters that the balls sent forth like hail with points that killed and maimed som many.

Nice photograph, and great follow-thru on the balls we saw the other day.

Well, I'll be! Perhaps there's a use for all those Confederate cannon balls yet!
