Eze Village: Lunch at the Chèvre d'Or - Pink Champagne

We were offered a choice of four different champagnes from the champagne trolley - one was pink. We didn't hesitate. This is a Bollinger.

You can see the tip of St. Jean Cap Ferrat to the right.

Great photo of the champagne, the glasses, the sky and the scenery.

Regarding Sharon's comment posted yesterday, I decided to live life at the edge and I directed my wife's attention to the goat champagne glasses. I am relieved to be able to report that she prefers the angel champagne glasses from which we enjoyed the pink champagne at the Chateau d' Chevre d' Or and she showed no interest in buying the goat champagne glasses.

She had two reasons. First, she said that the angel glasses are more ergonomic because you can fit your fingers right under the wings and hold the glasses comfortably. Second, she said that the glass hair on the "chinny, chin chin" of the goat glasses looked like it might break off, and because it is my job to wash the glasses, I would tend to agree. What a relief that there are no goat glass purchases in my future. The angels must have been watching over me.

Nice shot. The champagne flute looks spectacular. What is the animal at its base?

the scenery is fab and so humerously relieved that someone else liked the angel glasses better than the goat one's as well. haa h-mmn how about the menu? please don't keep us in suspense???! not that the goat's glasses aren't nice but the angels s-e-e-m to add a more 'fanciful' touch to the glass. Any opinions on this???

David, thank goodness for that! In any case, your memory went with the angel glasses and so goat glasses wouldn't have meant so much, even if you did prefer the design - but happily your wife doesn't!

And Cluless - the animal is a goat - the name of the restaurant being, in French, the Golden Goat.
