Eze Village: Lunch at the Chèvre d'Or - the Terrace

Don't know about you but I'm getting hungry, so whilst there is much more to see in the gardens, let's go eat! We can take another look at the gardens another day.

We've walked up the steps you see in the lower photograph. Had we walked through the village, rather than the gardens, we'd not have encountered such a steep staircase.

You have brought back memories of our lunch on the same Terrace shown in your photo today, with a great view of Cap Ferrat in the distance.

Back in 2002, the umbrellas were white. Perhaps white was the summer color and your photo today shows the fall colors for the umbrellas. Maybe for the stylish French table umbrellas are like women's clothes, as in the USA there is an expression that women should not wear white after Labor Day, which is the first Monday of September.

whaaat a magnificent view!! H-mm-m the white umbrellas would have looked beautiful as well. Since you were there in 2002 what kind of cuisine did they serve. it's just as important as the vista of the place so readers can savor the entire picture (so to speak hee)of the location.

while it looks pricey; the view alone would make it worth the price, it's certain.

David, yes, the umbrellas seem to be orange for autumn and white for summer.

I really like the umbrellas! Wish I could also give my opinion about the food... :-)
