Fête XVIIIth Century - Gunpowder


In the main photograph, the gunsmith is pounding the gunpowder in a pestle and mortar, prior to putting it into the ivory funnel you see in the lower photo, which is then used to channel it into the pistol.

He has some very valuable antique guns! Or maybe they belong to a gun museum? Looks like the "Fete XVIIIth Century" has been a lot of fun!

Shivver me timbers, looks like he belongs on a pirate ship, especially with the swords at his side.
