Christmas Baubles

The Metropole Centre is always pretty impressive with its enormous chandeliers but naturally, Monaco being Monaco, more more lights and baubles were added for the festive season. Note the beautiful marble floors. The café you see on the lower level is a great place to meet up with friends for a coffee or lunch.

This looks like the type of decor one would expect of a shopping mall in Monaco, but it is impressive nevertheless.

Jilly, you mentioned that the cafe on the lower level is a good spot to meet friends, but you neglected to mention that it would be a good spot for people watching -- especially for you with a camera.

Such opulence! And it's a shopping center? I imagine that a cup of coffee there costs more euros that I would want to pay.

Now this is my kind of shopping! Of course, I probably can't afford anything here, but I'd just love walking around and looking at the sites.
