Larvotto Beach

We've not left MONACO STREET forever - we'll be back to see more street theatre at Monaco's market - but let's have a weekend on the beach.

We are looking down on Larvotto Beach from the 19th floor of the Formentor. The peninsula you see in the distance is Cap Martin. Beyond that you'll find Menton and then Italy.

Note the jellyfish nets in the water.

Great to see the 'Jelly Fish Nets'. Any such thing in Menton Jilly? Only we are on our way in early September,
staying as we have done for the past 45 years in Airole. Which you really must visit.
Best wishes
Graeme

Yes, there are some nets in Menton, Graeme. And again yes, Airole is a glorious village. I love it but haven't yet photographed it for the Menton blog. I've a list as long as my arm but it's on the list!

Sheesh, all we got is the Mississippi. We do have a stage about that side on the riverfront but no jellyfish nets.

Wish I were at the beach (especially that one!), but alas business called this weekend. Thank you for this view of the glorious Mediterranean.

What a wonderful view! I always saw the Formentor from the beach. The sun goes down behind it.
Is it a public building? It would be nice to take a look from above next time I'm there...

It's interesting to see this photo
because I've been to Monaco but never knew about Larvotto Beach- I thought it was only the beautiful Hercule Harbour and the old area of Monaco - and that was it. Great views! Great photo!

Barbara, The Formentor is an apartment building owned by the Pastor Group. You can only get in if you have an invitation to visit someone who is living there. I was lucky to be having lunch with a friend that day.

puddinglane, I think a lot of people don't know about Larvotto. Think of Monaco and you think of Port Hercule and the Casino area and the rocher. Glad you like it. It's lovely having lunch on the beach.
