Peter's Monte Carlo - the Café de Paris

The Café de Paris is on the opposite side of Casino Square to the Hôtel de Paris that we saw yesterday. In this photograph by Peter of Paris, we are looking at the entrance - straight ahead are slot machines but we turned right and dined in the beautiful restaurant decorated in the Art Nouveau style. You can see one of the beautiful screens by clicking on the link.

Peter has created a wonderful montage and reportage of his time in Menton - do click on his link to take a look.

Yes Alice, the evening was remarkably balmy and it was lovely to stay a bit outside and watch the world go by. A very special world at that!

Peter's photo is great, and so is your link to the screen inside, Jilly. We were seated next to the lion this time, weren't we?

Nathalie, do you expect me to remember which screen we were sitting next to after the champagne and wine we drank at dinner?!

WEll Peter's photo is just grand. He is much better at night photography than I am and this proves my point.
The signage over the door reminds me of the Metro signs.

Virginia, that's right - all Art Nouveau - Paris and the Cafe de P in Monaco.

This is a great series, and you are right about the going on the link to Peter's collage of photos. You have a spectacular view from your balcony.

Nice of you to complete with the beautiful screens! I tried to get them, but failed.

Nice photo! The blue of the interior sign and the yellow facade are quite striking. I was curious/impressed to find that Chopard were still open at 11.30 - just in case the the arm candy needs some more decoration. Trust the Swiss to cater for peoples desire to abandon their money at all times of day or night!
